Lena Dunham's swimwear photos have her fans feeling inspired.
On Monday, the 35-year-old actor took to Instagram to share new photos of herself in a red and white swimsuit, paired with a message about "gratitude."
The "Girls" alum began by giving thanks to her more than 2.8 million followers after tipping her hat to her swimsuit for accommodating her "ample belly."
"It’s easy to go down the rabbit hole, yelling about how the internet is mean and false and destroying our social fabric yadda yadda yadda, but this community, right here on the ‘gram, has been so consistently loving, kind and connected for such a long time," Dunham wrote.
Dunham thanked her followers for allowing her to share her "tougher moments" as well as her "most sweet ones" without judgement.
"The fact that you’ve shown me love when I am, in fact, a stranger is a testament to the goodliness of human nature," Dunham went on. "So this is just a note to say thank you, I’m with you and - to quote my love, Taylour Paige, 'remember to put your feet in the grass.' I just did and it helped, with everything. Then I saw a slug and came back on the deck but you know, points for trying? I’m giving you all points for trying this Monday."
Her heartfelt post was met with unanimous support from her followers — many of whom thanked her for her inspiring honesty.
"First of all, that swimsuit looks amazing on you!" one person commented. "Secondly, are you kidding me? Thank you for being an endless source of inspiration to so many (myself included), and sharing your artistry, candour, sense of humour and kindness with all of us."
"That suit is stunning but your happiness and confidence is even more so," someone else chimed in.
"I see you, Lena. Your writing and your raw truth inspires me to be myself and to fall in love with life," added another. "Bravo sweet lady, love you, too."
"Gratitude is joy. Lovely post Lena. Looking well and happy," another Instagram user wrote.
This isn't the first time Dunham has given fans an inspiring look into her life via Instagram. Earlier this year, the "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood" actress revealed that she was three years sober.
"We are worth it even when we’re right in the middle of it all," Dunham told her fans. "If you are caught in a cycle of pain and shame around addiction, you are so far from alone- there are so many recovering addicts who want and need to connect with you and who will hold it down for you no matter what."
