Lego Masters stars Tim, 25,and Dannii, 26, have been by each other's sides since they first met at age 13, but they never could have imagined the heartbreaking scenario they'd be in seven years later.

Tim, revealed when he was 19 years old he received the shocking diagnosis that he had a brain tumour and that he only had three weeks to live.

“At the age of 19, nobody really comprehends the fact their life could be over,” he said in an interview with Woman's Day.

At the time of his diagnosis, Tim's bucket list included building a giant Lego castle after he'd spent much of his life collecting sets that he'd never had the chance to use.

"My family found some Lego at a car boot sale and sat with me for hours as I built a Lego castle with them," he said.

Tim revealed on Lego Masters that he was in hospital for six and a half weeks and then was recovering for six and a half months.

He said, "Lego became a really big therapeutic tool and that was the moment that Dannii decided to join onto the hobby and she hasn't looked back."

Dannii added, "Going through that life and death situation, it means a lot for Tim to actually get involved with Lego, really get out there and show what we can do."

Thankfully, the father-of-two is now healthy and his biggest challenge is winning Lego Masters.

In a video on their Instagram page, Tim and Dannii assured fans he has vision in both eyes after numerous publications reported he was legally blind in one eye following the diagnosis.
