Former Home And Away actress Jessica Falkholt, who tragically lost her life following a serious car crash on Boxing Day, had a bright future ahead of her in the entertainment industry.
Now eight months later it’s been revealed her first feature film, sci-fi thriller Harmony, is set to be released in October this year.
The film will be released in Australia by Cowlick Entertainment and Bonsai Films, who have announced they are in the process of setting up a Falkholt Foundation in honour of Jessica and her family who lost their lives too soon.
“All involved with this film have been utterly devastated by the passing of its lead actress Jessica Falkholt, who plays Harmony, in the Boxing Day crash last year,” read an official statement released on Tuesday afternoon.
“Her large extended family are immensely supportive of this film and see it as her enduring legacy, so wish it to have as wide a release as possible around Australia and the world.
“They have written a dedication at the end of the film and we are working with them to set up a Falkholt Foundation.”
This was Jessica’s final piece of work before her tragic death, in which she played the lead role of a 21-year-old young woman, Harmony, who was born with the power to absorb the fear of others.
Another television role was in the pipeline for Jessica, to appear in Channel Nine drama Bite Club in 2018.
On January 17 a spokesperson for St George Hospital advised Ms Falkholt passed away at 10.20 am.
In December it was confirmed Jessica’s younger sister Annabelle had died in hospital three days after their parents were killed in a horrific NSW south coast collision.
Both Jessica and Annabelle were passengers in their parents’ car when it collided with another car on Boxing Day, on the Princes Highway, north of the Bendalong turnoff.
