Need a Last-Minute Appetizer? Tuna Dip to the Rescue

Need a last-minute appetizer but don't have time to run to the store? If you have cream cheese in the fridge and a can of tuna in the cupboard, you're in luck.

It turns out that the two combined make for a very delicious dip. Just drop 'em in a bowl and fire up your favorite mixer, add a few spices, and you have an easy, healthy-ish dip for sudden guests, potluck invitations, or just for enjoying at home on a night you don't want to cook!

Ingredients

  • 1

    (4.5-ounce) can albacore tuna in water, drained well

  • 1

    (8-oz package) cream cheese, at room temperature

  • 1 tsp.

    Worcestershire sauce

  • 1

    clove garlic, grated

  • 3

    to 4 dashes Tabasco or other hot sauce

  • 1 tsp.

    smoked paprika, plus more for garnish

  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • Crackers and sliced vegetables, for serving

Directions

  1. Combine tuna, cream cheese, Worcestershire, garlic, hot sauce, and paprika with an electric mixer on medium speed until fully combined. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with crackers and vegetables alongside.
