Yahoo Lifestyle ‘Landman’ Star Michelle Randolph Has a Shocking ‘Bachelor’ Connection
If you’ve been watching Taylor Sheridan’s new series Landman on Paramount+, you might be wondering why the actor who plays Billy Bob Thornton’s daughter looks so damn familiar. Though a relative newcomer in Hollywood, Michelle Randolph (who stars as Ainsley Norris on the drama) also appeared in the Yellowstone prequel series 1923 as Elizabeth Strafford...but there’s another reason why you might look at her and think, Huh. Why do I know her? And that might be because Michelle’s older sister is Bachelor Nation’s Cassie Randolph. Small world!!
A quick refresher: Cassie appeared on season 23 of The Bachelor, where she won over Colton Underwood’s heart (although the two opted not to get engaged at the end). As you probs recall, things didn’t end well for her and Colton, but she’s since moved on with musician Brighton Reinhardt, to whom she got engaged in November 2024. Happy for her!
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s move on to Cassie’s younger sister and everything you should know about the up-and-coming actor.
Michelle got her start on reality TV.
Fun fact: Before starring on The Bachelor, Cassie appeared on another reality show, Young Once, which premiered on Castle in 2015 and featured both Cassie and Michelle as students at the conservative Biola University in Southern California. Pls enjoy a lil clip from the series:
Unlike Cassie, Michelle didn’t end up graduating from Biola, but she did eventually earn her bachelor’s from Arizona State University in 2023.
She founded a denim line with her sister.
If you can’t tell from all the photos they post together on IG, Michelle and Cassie are very, very close—and though they no longer have their joint YouTube channel, Double Mumble, they do have a denim line. In 2022, the sisters launched LNDN Denim, which you can shop on thmbl.
To make things even cuter: LNDN (pronounced “Landon”) was named for Michelle and Cassie’s younger brother, Landon Randolph.
She used to date a Disney Channel star.
Michelle first sparked dating rumors with Disney Channel alum Gregg Sulkin (who you may know from Wizards of Waverly Place) in 2018, and the couple went on to date for at least five years before seemingly going their separate ways.
It’s unclear when or why Michelle and Gregg officially broke up, but Michelle has since wiped any trace of Gregg from her Instagram so...¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
She modeled before transitioning to acting.
After moving to Huntington Beach (which is close to Los Angeles) at 16, Michelle signed with Wilhelmina Models...and then immediately caught the acting bug. As she explained during an interview with Grazia, “When I booked my very first movie, the second I walked onto set, I had so much fun and realized that’s all I wanted to do. I stopped modeling and pursued acting ever since.”
Following her run on Young Once, Michelle only appeared in a few projects—including the TV movies House of the Witch and A Snow White Christmas—before landing a life-changing audition for 1923. But Taylor Sheridan must have loved her audition, because before she knew it, Michelle was on her way to cowboy camp in Montana. Yeehaw!
