Krispy Kreme Has Mini Donuts with Cadbury Eggs to Celebrate the Start of Spring
Krispy Kreme’s brand-new Spring Minis Collection donuts, available starting on March 19, feature festive colors and candies
Krispy Kreme’s new donuts will put some spring in your step.
The donut chain is offering a new Spring Minis Collection in honor of the first day of spring on March 19. The mini treats come in four flavors and each is decked out in festive colors and details.
The Mini Birds Nest Donut uses Cadbury mini eggs — a classic springtime and Easter candy — to create its clever look. An original glazed donut has chocolate buttercream piped to look like a nest and Cadbury mini eggs placed in the middle to look like, well, eggs.
The animal-inspired desserts don’t stop there. The Hatching Chick Donut takes a glazed donut, dips it in yellow icing and white sprinkles and adds eyes and a beak with frosting.
Keeping with the theme, the Strawberry Egg Donut looks like a decorated Easter egg. An original glazed donut is dipped in strawberry icing and decorated with yellow and blue frosting, making for a final product fit for an egg hunt.
The Robin’s Egg Donut is the last of the Spring Minis Collection but has just as much spring spirit. The miniature glazed donut is dipped in teal icing and covered in daisy-shaped sprinkles.
Krispy Kreme will sell the Spring Minis in stores nationwide for a limited time.
Starbucks is also celebrating spring with some special menu items. The coffee spot introduced lavender for the first time in March with the Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha and Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte.
Plus, Starbucks added the Lavender Créme Frappuccino to menus this week. This caffeine-free beverage combines lavender and vanilla syrup with milk and ice and is topped with whipped cream.
Customers can also add floral flavor to any menu item with the limited-time lavender cream cold foam. It can be used to top any beverage, but the chain recommends adding it as a customization to their iced chai tea latte.
On Thursday, March 21, Starbucks customers can use a buy-one-get-one-free discount to try the coffee company’s lavender menu items (or whatever drink you choose).
