Travis Just Said Kourtney Kardashian Is Due With Baby No. 4 On Halloween
Another Kardashian baby could be here any day now. Kourtney Kardashian, 44, is definitely nearing the end of her pregnancy with her fourth child—and her first with rocker husband Travis Barker, 47. In fact, Travis let slip this week that Kourt could literally be giving birth on Halloween.
"It's either Halloween or like, the first week of November," Travis told Toby Morse on his podcast, One Life One Chance with Toby Morse, per People. He also shared the baby's full name, to which Toby responded, "Such a hard name, man."
ICYMI: The eldest Kardashian sister announced in mid-June that she was pregnant with the couple's first child at a Blink-182 concert in Los Angeles. The Poosh founder broke the news by holding up a sign that read, "Travis I'm Pregnant," which definitely got the attention of the entire stadium—and world.
Kourt's hubby even hopped off stage to give her a hug and a kiss upon seeing the sign. Objectively, it was a very cool announcement, and it probably pays homage to one of Blink-182's most iconic music videos. Later, Kourtney posted a clip showing the couple finding out their baby's sex, and it is truly the cutest thing you ever did see.
At the moment, the soon-to-be mother of four seems to be enjoying every last bit of pregnancy. She's done plenty of pregnancy photoshoots (which you can see all over her 'gram).
While Kourtney and Travis wait for their bundle of joy, here's everything to know about the pregnancy so far:
She's having a baby boy.
Kourtney previously posted an Instagram video with Travis, showing blue confetti exploding as he hits the cymbals, so it seems safe to say that the couple is having a boy.
"Kourtney can’t wait to be a [new] mom again. Her older kids are excited about the baby too,” a source told People.
The baby's name is Rocky Thirteen Barker.
Yup, Travis told Toby Morse that was the baby's name on the latter's podcast this week. He's definitely hinted at it before (and an eagle-eyed fan spotted the name "Rocky" on a note at their baby shower), but this seems to confirm it.
When is Kourtney due?
She's due on Halloween...or the first week of November. It's not totally clear, but Travis said that the band was planning to do a benefit concert to raise money for Hawaii, but he had to reschedule because of Kourt's due date.
This also makes sense why Kourtney has been posting all these Halloween themed pregnancy shoots.
There's no news yet, but that doesn't mean the baby might not have already been born. Stay tuned for updates?
Kourtney is experiencing a "geriatric pregnancy."
In a profile for British Vogue in October, Kourtney opened up about being pregnant at 44. ICYDK, all pregnancies that take place over the age of 35 are considered "geriatric," according to Cleveland Clinic.
"[The word 'geriatric pregnancy'] is just so wild," Kourtney told British Vogue. "But my doctors are so cautious, and I’ve had so many more restrictions than my other pregnancies. The first trimester was no working out, no flying on airplanes, no sex. Then the second trimester, I could do anything. Now, I am back to all the restrictions.”
The Lemme Gummies founder has spoken at length about how much harder this pregnancy has been for her, compared to her first three. However, she's also expressed immense gratitude for the experience. "Pregnancy is so empowering," she wrote in a recent Instagram caption.
Kourtney has faced a bit of criticism for her pregnancy online, but she doesn't let it affect her, she told Vanity Fair Italia. "I just say: How could you question God’s plan? Because that’s how I see this pregnancy, which came when both Travis and I weren’t even thinking about it anymore and a year after we stopped IVF," she told the publication.
She conceived her son naturally.
On The Kardashians, Kourtney documented parts of her fertility journey. In episodes from the 2022 season, she and Travis went through rounds of IVF in order to get pregnant.
However, it was only when the couple paused treatments that Kourtney ended up conceiving their child naturally. "It was an indescribable feeling," she said, of getting pregnant. "Shock, then super-happy, fear sets in, worry, but I remembered then to have gratitude."
The couple had a Disney-themed baby shower.
One thing about the Kardashian sisters? They know how to throw a themed party. On September 24, Kourtney and Travis shared Instagram Stories of their Disney-themed baby shower—complete with a Dapper Dans-adjacent quartet and plenty of Mickey Mouse balloons, per PEOPLE.
The shower was thrown by event planner Mindy Weiss, according to PEOPLE, and Khloe and Kim Kardashian were also in attendance to support their sister. The party was decked out in decor, including notes of well wishes hanging from trees, per Kourtney's Instagram.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted a note addressing "Baby Rocky," per TMZ, in one of the photos shared on social media. This may just be a nickname based off of Travis' profession, but it's certainly...interesting.
It also appears the shower was socially distanced, according to Kourtney's Instagram Stories from the event. One guest shared it was a "social distance shower," on their Instagram Story (which Kourtney later reshared). In the photo, Travis also appears to be double masked.
With rising cases of COVID this fall, and Kourtney's recent emergency fetal surgery, it makes sense the couple is being extra cautious as the Kardashians star wraps up her pregnancy.
Kourtney had urgent fetal surgery.
In early September, Blink-182 postponed several of their shows in the U.K. The band posted a statement on Instagram explaining that Travis had to return to the U.S. for an "urgent family matter." Upon hearing this news, many fans speculated whether Kourtney had gone into labor.
However, Kourtney didn't give birth, but she did, unfortunately, go to the hospital for "urgent fetal surgery," according to her Instagram.
"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this," she wrote on a post of her hand holding Travis' in the hospital.
"As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear," she continued in the post. "I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant."
Kourtney added that baby was doing well post-surgery. "Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing. 🙏🏼🤍."
After returning home from the hospital, Kourtney was "feeling better" and "happy to have Travis back home too," a source told People. Later, Kourtney also expressed gratitude for being able to afford extra ultrasounds outside of her insurance coverage.
"I’ve always been lucky enough to do more than what insurance covers, and it’s one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby’s life," she told Vogue.
Their baby announcement was a callback to "All The Small Things."
The Kardashians are masters at curating their publicity, and Kourtney's pregnancy announcement might have seemed spontaneous for some, but I'm guessing it was very carefully planned.
The sign that Kourtney held at Travis' show was extremely similar to a moment in Blink-182's "All The Small Things"music video. The video features the band surrounded by fans holding signs at several moments, and one sign reads "Travis I'm Pregnant." Kourtney hasn't outwardly confirmed she meant to mimic the iconic moment, and some fans are speculating if Travis was totally surprised by her announcement, but I'd say it was all thoroughly planned. A source also recently told PEOPLE that her family has known about the pregnancy for "a while."
Travis and Kourtney have wanted to have kids for a while.
Baby Barker has been a long time coming for the couple! In 2020, a fan asked the Poosh founder if she was pregnant via Instagram, to which Kourtney responded, "No I wish."
Later, in October 2021, shortly after Travis and Kourtney first got engaged, a source told E! News that they would "love nothing more than to have a baby together."
In March 2022, a segment on an episode of The Kardashians also revealed that the couple was exploring IVF. In another episode, Kourtney also commented on the effect of social media on her hopes for getting pregnant, telling her mom: "It's so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they're actually going through."
Naturally, the couple was very excited to announce their pregnancy. Kourtney captioned a recent Instagram picture, which revealed her baby bump, “Overwhelmed with gratitude and joy for God’s blessing and plan.” and Travis similarly commented: "God is great 🙏❤️."
The couple has six other children from previous relationships.
Both Kourtney and Travis have three children from previous relationships. Kourtney is the mother of three children with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick: sons Mason, 13, and Reign, 9, and daughter Penelope, 11. Fun fact: Mason and Reign share a birthday, December 14.
Travis, similarly, shares two children with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler: son Landon, 19, and daughter Alabama, 17. He also has a very close relationship with his former stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 24, Shanna Moakler's daughter.
