The Korean Way to Order Iced Coffee at McDonald's
Let's get one thing very straight: iced coffee with ice cream is not an South Korea McDonald's exclusive. Rather, it is a clever hack inspired by Paul Bassett, a South Korean coffee shop known for its ice cream lattes. Dubbed as the "McBassett", this coffee concoction first gained popularity in 2021 through TikTok, where content creators demonstrated combining McDonald's black iced coffee (or iced latte) with their soft-serve vanilla ice cream cone.
The marriage of the two is a creamy, sweet coffee experience that's both accessible and cost-effective compared to premium coffee shops.

How to Order the McDonald's "McBassett"
Here's how to order McBassett hack for yourself. First, order a black iced coffee and a soft-serve cone. Next you're going to want to make some room in the coffee cup where the ice cream will go. The only way that makes sense to drink some of the iced coffee. Then remove the cup lid off, dunk the the soft-serve cone into the iced coffee a few times to allow the cool dairy to incorporate into the liquid. Leave the remaining ice cream and cone angled on the side of the cup as a decorative garnish (and little treat!) Stir well to mix and drink immediately. Get ready to be blown away by the sweet, creamy latte-like elixir.
