Kodak Black finally apologizes to Nipsey Hussle’s family and Lauren London

In the Know and Complex News have come together to bring you the latest news in hip hop music and culture.

Kodak Black posted a formal apology to Nipsey Hussle’s family and Lauren London on his Instagram, where he also shared a photo of Hussle.

The apology comes after the rapper received backlash for comments he made following Hussle’s untimely death in 2019. Kodak had made insensitive comments about London, Hussle’s grieving girlfriend, saying that he was going to pursue her after “a whole year” of “crying.”

“I Never Meant To Disrespect Your Queen,” Kodak’s post reads.

This is the second time Kodak has apologized for his comments about London. Rappers T.I. and The Game called out Kodak last year, which pressured him into publicly apologizing — although, at the time, the statement was a lot more backhanded and passive.

“If I disrespected you Lauren London in any shape or form, I am sorry,” Kodak said. “Even though I didn’t. Rest in peace to dude, if I disrespected Lauren London in any way even though I know I didn’t, my bad.”

Kodak is currently incarcerated on gun charges.
