Kmart $12 item transforms woman's bedroom: 'That is so clever'

If you’re planning a bedroom makeover for spring, this is all the inspiration you need.
A woman has posted about her incredible bedroom makeover using a $12 item from Kmart and it's made a huge impact.
Sharing her fresh bedroom update on Facebook, the woman revealed her hack for revamping a bedroom on a budget in just 45 minutes.
“We recently moved homes and I wasn’t feeling the dull grey anymore,” she said of her old bed on the Kmart Homes Decor and Hacks Australia Facebook page.
“I wanted a new bed frame but didn’t want to spend a bomb + shipping.
“So I reupholstered our old bed frame with the Kmart table cloth (x2). It was incredibly easy and only took 45 minutes.”
The woman shared the incredible before and after photos of her revamped double bed, which she put together using a staple gun and one and a half $12 Beige Linen Look tablecloths from Kmart.

Her bedroom refresh delighted hundreds of fellow Kmart fans, who couldn’t believe the improvement.
“Love this. I think every one is getting tired of dull old grey. Well done to you,” one person said.
“Love this page I see a tablecloth and that is where my imagination gets stuck. Now I can see it in a different brilliant way,” added another.
“Wow, that is so clever! Your whole bedding looks Amazing, love it,” commented a third.
“Thank you for that inspiration. I would never have thought of this as an option! Thanks for sharing,” another woman said.
How she did it
Many also asked how she did it, thinking it needed sewing or stitching. But the crafty Kmart fan said it was “really easy”.
“I took the bed apart and laid the table cloths down, cut around each piece leaving enough to pull around to the back then used a staple gun to fix it to the back,” the woman explained.
“Just make sure you pull it tight in all directions!”
She went on to say that she secured the corners by doing a ‘nurses corner’ fold and flattened it until it was how she wanted it to fit.
After upcycling her bedhead, she also redesigned the bed linen using white and beige linen and cushions from a range of places including some from Kmart and others from her local op shop.
Others said they were planning a similar revamp using curtains from IKEA.
“Are you kidding me... that's amazing! I'm planning to do something similar with the Ikea curtains that I'm loving the texture of. Great minds!!” Another person said.
