Kmart fan page blows up over 'bullying' claims

If you weren’t already aware, the online Kmart community is massive – from Kmart Mums to Kmart home, decor and hacks, there are countless social media groups and pages run by the store’s devoted fans.

However, behind all the nifty design hacks and style tips, one fan page administrator has gone on an expletive-ridden rant suggesting there could be a dark side behind the scenes of ‘The Kmart influencer circle’.

Posting to the Instagram, the admin for Kmart Hacks announced they would be shutting down the popular account due to the apparent ‘bullying culture’ on social media which they claim is associated with Kmart Australia.

“This group will be archived soon as I am no longer wanting any relationship or Association with Kmart Australia. Thank you all for your support. I am very grateful,” they wrote.

“I feel that there is a bully culture on social media within the Kmart influencer circle (namely on Instagram) and Kmart does nothing to discourage it if anything they support it. Because of that, I wish not to be involved in any promotion of their company.”

However, after the post was shared to the Facebook page Kmart Unhacks & Roasts – a page devoted to mocking such fans and their hacks – the admin’s calm approach turned into a fiery rant.

“I’m shutting this account down permanently. .I can’t do this anymore” they started.

“I’m not even going to fully elaborate why… Other than to say the larger Kmart influencers are a bunch of bullies. If they’re not bullies then they stand by and not say anything which to me is the same thing. So f*** them. F*** all of them.

“If you’re considering trying to become an influencer for Kmart. Don’t. Unless you can stand fake people and a bunch of bullies and their bitchy behaviour. Then go for your life.

“These ‘women’ aren’t the people they portray themselves to be on your story feed. If you don’t fit into their mean girls club then get used to being an outsider. If it weren’t for accounts like mine, these Becky’s wouldn’t exist. Pathetic. . .

“They all pretend I am attacking them unfairly and as if they’ve done nothing wrong. Ha! believe that if you wish. I know the truth.

“From this point on I will have nothing to do with Kmart as a ‘social influencer’. I’m actually embarrassed I spent 4 yrs of my life on this,” the admin fumed.

But brace yourselves… it’s not over.

Responding directly to Kmart Unhacks & Roasts the admin then tried to justify their rant by saying, “It wasn’t a dummy spit. It was giving the people the respect of explaining why I was shutting the group down.”

“It also wasn’t anything to do with the bigger groups. The bullies live on Instagram. You should know, you’re one of them. You’re a bunch of idiot bullies who need a hobby. Or a man. Something in your life is missing and you’re just sad lonely people.”

All previous posts on the Kmart Hacks Instagram account – which racked up over 24K followers – have now been deleted and replaced with a Kermit the Frog meme with the caption, “I’m out. No more fake people and bully behaviour for me.”
