Kirk Cousins programmed a nostalgic Falcons practice playlist for his birthday featuring 2000s alt-rock classics
The Atlanta Falcons hopped into a time machine for practice on Monday for quarterback Kirk Cousins' birthday.
The new Falcons starter got the chance to program the practice playlist, picking a host of alt-rock and pop-punk classics from the 2000s for the speaker system as he turns 36.
The playlist featured some staples of the genre like The Killers' "Mr. Brightside" and Foo Fighters' "Best of You" and a couple of deep cuts like All Time Low's "Dear Maria, Count Me In" and Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts."
Of course, millennial bangers like Yellowcard's "Ocean Avenue" and Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle" made the cut as well.

It must have felt like driving on the highway and listening to Sirius XM's Pop2K radio station if you were at this Falcons practice, one that reinforces that Cousins is a big fan of the music from the 2000s.
For a birthday practice playlist, this is a heck of a lineup.
