Kim Kardashian Discloses Her Son's Health Condition in Candid Moment

Kim Kardashian revealed in a personal new interview that one of her sons whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West has a rare skin condition.

The 43-year-old opened up about her family's health during an enlightening new interview with Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney on the podcast SHE MD.

During their conversation, Kardashian shared how she has suffered from psoriasis passed on genetically from her mother, Kris Jenner, and in turn, she passed a form of it on to her son.

“It came from my mom, went to me... I've passed on, in a different form, to my son, who has vitiligo very mildly," she revealed, although she didn't specify whether it was her son Saint or Psalm.

"We got it under control," she explained, before commenting on how she has been able to spread awareness and learn more while treating it. "I didn't know anything about it but... just learning more and being able to share that with people."

Haney cut in, saying, "It's a blessing," with Kardashian agreeing.

Kardashian, who also shares daughters North and Chicago with West, added that her kids "have a little bit of eczema," but she didn't elaborate further on their health.

Psoriasis is a chronic illness that affects skin cells, leading them to multiply too quickly and causing itchy and irritated skin all over the body, according to the National Institutes of Health. As for vitiligo, the Mayo Clinic notes that it involves skin losing pigment and color in patches that can get larger over time.

Throughout the rest of the interview, Kardashian shared how she discovered her psoriasis in her 30s, initially thinking it was a normal rash, only to have her mother suggest that it was the condition she also suffered from.

She has faced struggles treating the illness, which can go through cycles of flaring up and then calming for a while, and psoriasis currently has no known cure.
