Kim Cattrall, Rosie O'Donnell, and More Stars Pay Tribute to Michelle Trachtenberg After Death

Michelle Trachtenberg is being remembered by her peers and co-stars. The Gossip Girl alumna has died at the age of 39, the NYPD confirmed to People on Wednesday. Following her tragic and untimely death, celebrities and former co-stars began to pay tribute to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star.

Trachtenberg's Ice Princess co-star Kim Cattrall responded to a post on X from Variety writing, "This is Heartbreaking. 💔 So talented, much too young," she wrote. "RIP Sweet Beauty. xo."
She also shared a throwback photo of the two from the Disney film. "Rest in peace sweet Michelle 💔," Cattrall wrote.
Rosie O'Donnell, who starred alongside Trachtenberg in Harriet the Spy, expressed her love for the star in a statement obtained by People.
"I loved her very much," she said. "She struggled the last few years. I wish I could have helped."
Melissa Joan Hart shared a clip of her and Trachtenberg in the '90s sitcom Clarissa Explains It All writing, "I'm heartbroken to hear of the passing of @michelletrachtenberg!! So young, so talented and so sweet! Here is a fun scene from when she was on #ClarissaExplainsItAll. I think this was about 1992 and the episode was an idea I had about babysitting a total nightmare. But Michelle was nothing like her character and even this young, we got along wonderfully. #gonetoosoon #RIP #GodBlesstheFunnyPeople."
Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson remembered Trachtenberg as the "first Nick movie star" alongside a video of the two in a sketch together from Nickelodeon. "She was my friend and now she rests!! 🙏🏾 Check on your people!!! ❤️," he added.
James Marsters, who starred alongside Trachtenberg in Buffy the Vampire Slayer posted a photo with the actress writing, "My heart is heavy today. We have lost a beautiful soul. Michelle was fiercely intelligent, howlingly funny, and a very talented person. She died much too young, and leaves behind scores of people who knew and loved her."
"My heart goes out to her family who are good people, and are suffering the greatest loss anyone could bear. I hope everyone can give them space to heal in this most difficult time," he added. "Godspeed Michelle. You are missed."
Her other Buffy co-star David Boreanaz posted to his Instagram Story writing, "So very sad...horrible news. RIP and prayers to her and her family."
Her hairstylist Tracey Cunningham posted an emotional statement on her Instagram Story alongside a photo of the actress. "It's heartbreaking to say goodbye to someone as kind, talented, and special as Michelle Trachtenberg. Michelle had a warmth that touched everyone who knew her, with a kindness that was felt in every interaction."

Trachtenberg's Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick also shared an image of her in character as Georgina Sparks on the hit CW show. "So sad to hear of the passing of @michelletrachtenberg," he wrote. "Sending prayers."
