Kelly Clarkson Admits to Surprising Road Trip Bathroom Behavior: 'Just Me?'
Kelly Clarkson admitted to a surprising road trip behavior while chatting with Tyler Posey and Taye Diggs on a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Posey and Diggs both visited the NBC daytime talk show to promote The Real Full Monty, a forthcoming two-hour special aimed at raising awareness about prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer. The special, which is scheduled to air on FOX on Monday, Dec. 9, will also feature Anthony Anderson, Chris Jones, Bruno Tonioli and James Van Der Beek as the celebrities “bare all to strip the stigma around these cancers,” according to a press release issued by the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Clarkson opened the discussion, a clip of which her show later shared on Friday, Dec. 6, on Instagram, by displaying a photo that Posey posted on social media back in May. In the photo, Posey had his pants pulled down as he stood in the middle of a two-lane highway.
Clarkson, 42, asked about the “freeing” moment before sharing, “I love being naked. I think we are so weird about being naked, especially in this country.”
Posey, 33, was quick to agree that “America is weird about it.”
“It’s so weird,” Clarkson agreed, adding, “it’s just bodies.” The “Since U Been Gone” singer then clarified that she believes “there’s inappropriate ages for certain things,” a point on which Posey agreed. “But at some point it’s just, like, we’re not that different,” she said.
After Posey explained that the photo showing him with his pants pulled down was snapped during a road trip he’d taken with his best friend, his father and his father’s best friend, Clarkson opened up about the habit she developed while taking long road trips.
“I’m from the country, and sometimes there’s such long drives, there’s nowhere to go to the bathroom,” the American Idol alum shared. “So you pop a squat, right?”
“Of course. Yes,” the Teen Wolf star agreed.
“So this has happened to me several times where a car—and I’m like, ‘Oh my god,’” Clarkson said, pretending to quickly cover herself up as if a car was passing by during a vulnerable roadside moment. “Has that ever happened to y’all? Just me?”
After Posey pointed out that the situation she described would be a bit different for him, Clarkson reflected more on unexpected interruptions by passing vehicles. “It’s the worst when you don’t see the car coming,” she said. “Oh, it’s so upsetting.”
It was while Clarkson and Posey were continuing their thread of discussion about road trip bathroom habits that Diggs, 53, stepped in. “You guys, you guys, you guys. What are we talking about right now?” he asked as the show's studio audience laughed. “What’s going on?”
