American singer Katy Perry has thrown her support behind the Australian farmers facing the drought.
On Friday afternoon the 33-year-old musician threw on a plaid shirt and Akubra-style hat during a Westfield shopping centre appearance in Brisbane.
Katy draped the shirt over her shoulders as she addressed the crowd of dedicated fans who were lucky enough to see the Roar singer in the flesh.
“Take that, drought,” she passionately said while walking across the stage.
Katy has been in Australia the past few weeks for her Witness tour, and will be finishing up in Sydney next week.
Dryer conditions in recent months have left Australian farmers across the nation struggling.
Earlier this week official figures showed 100% of NSW is now impacted by drought, with less than 10 millimetres of rain recorded in the western, northwest, and central areas of the state over the past month.
