Katie Price's fiancé Carl Woods denies they are getting married in Las Vegas

Katie Price's fiancé Carl Woods has denied they are getting married in Las Vegas insisting they obtained a marriage licence as a prank.

The couple sparked rumours they were set to tie the knot when they flew to Sin City last week, shortly after the 43-year-old reality star and mother-of-five completed a stay at The Priory rehabilitation clinic.

Woods, 32, posted a statement on Instagram saying: "I can confirm Katie Price and I are not getting married in Vegas and never was. However a $102 marriage licence caused pure carnage and got the media all excited and s**t."

He added: "I have always said I wouldn't do anything similar or the same to what's been done before."

Price married her second husband, cage fighter Alex Reid, at the chapel in Las Vegas' Wynn Hotel in February 2010.

Woods' denial comes after Price posted on her own Instagram stories a picture of the doors to the Romano Chapel at Caesars Palace in Vegas, followed by a video clip of the inside of the empty chapel captioned: "Done and dusted with all this."

She later shared a picture of car dealer Woods captioned: "I just love this man."

Price is due to appear in court on drink-driving charges on 15 December.

The reality star was charged for driving while disqualified on 29 September after she crashed her car in the early hours of the morning while serving a driving ban.

She began dating Woods in June 2020 and in April this year they announced they were engaged to be married – her seventh engagement.

In August, Essex Police confirmed that an unnamed man had been arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and controlling behaviour following an alleged attack on Price in the early hours.

Price — who has previously spoken about her treatment for cocaine addiction — had also returned to rehab at The Priory at the beginning of 2020.

The former glamour model who was declared bankrupt in 2019 is mother to 19-year-old son Harvey, whose father is footballer Dwight Yorke; she shares Junior, 16, and Princess, 14, with first husband Peter Andre; and Jett, eight, and Bunny, seven, with third husband Kieran Hayler.

She is now registered as disabled after breaking both her feet when she fell from a 25ft wall in Turkey while on holiday last summer.
