Katie Price 'attacked' at home and rushed to hospital with facial injury

Katie Price has been injured in an alleged attack at her home and taken to hospital after sustaining a facial injury.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault following the incident in the early hours of Monday in Little Canfield, Essex Police said in a statement.

"We were called by colleagues in the ambulance service to reports of an assault in The Meadows, Little Canfield, shortly after 1.30am this morning, Monday August 23," police confirmed in a statement to Yahoo.

"We arrived and found a woman had sustained a facial injury which required hospital treatment.

"A 32-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody."

Katie Price or her representatives are yet to provide any further update.

Katie's last post on her social media account showed her in a snap taken by her taken by her fiancé Carl Woods, 32, along with Katie's children Jett, eight, and Bunny, seven.

'Family time' she captioned the snap.

Her fiancé Carl Woods shared a photo on his Instagram with the former glamour model and two of her children with the caption "Sunday Funday".

Over the weekend Katie and ex-husband Peter Andre had been celebrating the news that their son Junior had just signed a recording contract.

The 16-year-old announced on Instagram that he has inked an agreement with Columbia Records, firing the starting pistol on his music career.

In his social media post, Junior revealed he entered the studio six months ago to begin work on a "massive project", which has led to his new deal.

He showed off his vocals publicly alongside Peter in July at the Fantasia festival, where he performed with his father on stage.
