Katie Holmes Defends Daughter After Trust Fund Allegations
Katie Holmes is defending her daughter Suri Cruise against claims that she became a millionaire when she turned 18 via trust fund.
The actor posted a screenshot on Instagram of a Daily Mail article that read: “Suri Cruise the millionaire! Tom Cruise’s trust fund has ‘kicked in’ and mom Katie Holmes has one for her too.”
On the screenshot, Holmes wrote that it was “completely false.”
“Daily Mail you can stop making stuff up,” Holmes wrote in her post, with a caption that read: “Enough.”
The article, which was marked as an exclusive, claimed that she just received a trust fund from her movie star dad.
An unknown source told the outlet: “It is part of the divorce deal that a trust fund provided by Tom Cruise be shared with daughter Suri Cruise when she turns 18, and it is substantial.”
In the comments of Holmes' Instagram post, many were quick to defend the star and her daughter.
“Im so sorry, your daughter should be off limits,” wrote on commenter.
“Wow you never ever speak out. Like EVER. Especially about this topic with your daughter and ex. This is amazing,” wrote another.
Just yesterday, Holmes posted an Instagram post that read: “Don’t believe everything you read on the Internet.”
