Kate Middleton is keeping up with the times.

First, the Princess of Wales rang in fall with some new curtain bangs, and now, she’s breaking away from her go-to skinny jeans. On November 1, Kate hung out with the “Dadvengers” and their kids in a striped sweater (she’s worn a similar style before) and a $228 pair of straight-leg jeans from Mother Denim that were loose around the ankles. She added a jacket and some boots to finish off the look.

Kate wore the same slim-fitting dark denim pants in mid-October, but with a bright blue blazer and some Veja sneakers instead. Though we’ve spotted her opting for looser styles in previous months, it’s still worth noting since she’s worn tight-ankle styles for years for everything from Christmas cards to archery activities.
