Kate Middleton shrugs off royal feud as she stuns on hospital visit

If rumours of a royal feud were starting t0 get to Kate Middleton, she certainly didn’t show it when she stepped out in London yesterday.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Evelina London Children’s Hospital, which Kate has just been announced as patron of.

For the occasion, Kate turned to one of her go-to high street labels, L.K. Bennett for her look: a $565 polka dot silk dress – which is still available to buy from John Lewis.

Kate teamed the dress with green court heels, a matching clutch bag and a pair of Annoushka 18kt pearl earrings – with her trademark locks loose.

Prince William, meanwhile, opted for a pale blue shirt paired with a navy suit.

The Duchess was given a posy upon arrival from Tiana Yales, six, who is being treated for sickle cell. Kate also spoke to Treshanna Durrant and her daughter Kamara Anderson, 13, who were completely surprised by the royal visit.

Kamara, who is being treated for torn ligaments in her leg, said Kate asked how she was feeling.

Mother Treshanna added: “It’s an amazing opportunity to meet her.”

The couple met a number of children receiving care at the hospital, as well as parents and staff before joining in with festive themed activities. Mother-of-three Kate, wearing a festive green LK Bennett polka dot dress, chatted to the children as she made Christmas gifts and cards with them.

Parents Kirsty and Kayleigh, whose three-year-old daughter Nancy has been treated at Evelina since she was born, said the Duchess’s patronage is “fantastic for the hospital and the children.”

Last week, claims surfaced there was a rift between Meghan and Kate.

A report emerged that the unease between Meghan and Kate was the reason for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s move to Windsor early next year.

“Kate and Meghan are very different people. They don’t really get on,” a source told the Daily Mail.

The rumours came about after Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, announced they are moving to Frogmore Cottage, on the Windsor Castle estate.

Until now, the Sussexes have lived in Nottingham Cottage – a two-bedroom house in the grounds of Kensington Palace, where the Cambridges also live.

Later in the afternoon, the Duke and Duchess also visited The Passage, a resource centre for the homeless in London. Kate and William discussed how living on the streets can affect mental health with charity workers and those affected, as they joined in with an arts and crafts session.
