Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle arrive separately at Wimbledon
The Duchess of Cambridge arrived early to the Wimbledon Women’s final with her sister, Pippa Middleton.
The Duchess of Sussex joined her in the royal box but arrived around an hour after Kate, who met with the players first.
This is the second event that they’re attending as a duo, the first being Wimbledon last year for the Women’s final between Angelique Kerber and Serena Williams.
Summer style
Kate opted for a sophisticated green Dolce and Gabbana midi-dress to mark the occasion.
It’s the second time the Duchess of Cambridge has worn this particular dress, the first was for a visit to Canada in 2016.
The dress has even been renamed “the Middleton” in homage to Kate.
She paired the dress with a Dolce and Gabanna Sicily bag and Asprey’s woodland oak leaf earrings.
Meanwhile Meghan chose a crisp white shirt with a blue and white patterned pleated skirt. Social media users have described the pattern as a “surprise delight” on Twitter.

Meghan is good friends with finalist, Serena Williams, who lost to Simona Halep in this year’s final.
It is the second trip to Wimbledon this year for the both of them.
Controversy
Meghan’s visit sparked controversy after her royal protection officers told spectators they were unable to take pictures of her as she watched Serena Williams as she was there in a “private capacity”.
Serena and Meghan have been friends for a long time, with Serena attending Meghan and Harry’s wedding last year.
Speaking about the controversy, Serena said she “never reads anything about Meghan in the news”.
The seven-time Wimbledon winner has won 23 grand slam titles.
