Kate and William 'delaying' visit to the Queen to avoid Meghan and Harry

It’s the royal family tradition, which sees some of the most senior members of the Windsor clan descend on the Queen’s Balmoral estate in the Scottish Highlands during the summer holidays.

However, it’s now being claimed that Kate Middleton and Prince William are delaying their visit to the Queen as they want to avoid bumping into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Royal expert, Robert Jobson, wrote in a piece for the Daily Mail that he believes the Cambridges are waiting for the Sussexes to head back to their Frogmore Cottage home before they make the journey to Scotland.

According to Robert, the Cambridges are furious about the comment Prince Harry made about having ‘two kids maximum’ in a chat with conservationist Jane Goodall.

But that’s not the only thing Kate and Wills have a bee in their bonnest about, as Robert claims Meghan’s Vogue September Issue would have riled the Duchess of Cambridge up.

"What will have fuelled [William and Kate's] disquiet, too, is Meghan's stint as guest editor on British Vogue's September issue,” Robert wrote.

"The Duchess insisted it would have been 'boastful' to appear on the cover - but failed to mention that Kate became the fashion bible's cover star two years previously."

Meghan instead chose to focus on 15 women who have ‘broken barriers’ with their inspiring work.

Kate Middleton appeared on the Vogue cover back in 2016, for its centenary edition.

However, Kate isn’t the only royal who has graced the cover of the fashion bible, with Princess Diana appearing on it three times over the years and Princess Anne also was the cover star three times.
