The gloves are well and truly off between Karl Stefanovic and his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn with the former journalist unleashing another war of words on social media.
Just a week after telling all in a candid interview on how she felt “discarded and disposed of” after the TODAY show host abruptly pulled the pin on their 21-year marriage, Cassandra has taken what appears to be another swipe on Instagram.
Cassandra, 47, who shares three children Jackson, 18, Ava, 12, and River, 10, with her ex, posted news of a new children’s book named ‘Leo Lion’s Big Bed!’ she has been working on to social media.

“Exciting times… out soon!” Cassandra captioned a photo of the book cover on Instagram.
“Stayed tuned. Profits going to an organisation that helps to ensure children are prioritised in divorce.”
Cassandra’s comment about making sure “children are prioritised in divorce” echos revelations from her interview with Australian Women’s Weekly, where she opened up about the family rift that’s divided her clan.
Karl and Cassandra announced their separation in September 2016, with the TV host stepping out with 34-year-old shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough in December.
The couple became engaged in February 2018, with Cassandra silent for two years, before finally detailing the effects of the split on her young family.
“The flip-side of that is I feel like we’re dead to his family and almost anyone from our old life,” she told Australian Women’s Weekly.
“There has been practically no contact.”
Cassandra’s interview has seen her ex hit back in a series of statements.
‘First and foremost, I’m a dad… and I’m not going anywhere,” Karl, 44, told the Daily Telegraph. “I love my kids. They know that. And that’s what matters.
“I don’t want my silence, or the fact that my children aren’t visibly front and centre with me for everyone to see, to be misinterpreted as absence. That couldn’t be further from the truth.”
