Karl Stefanovic is 'shedding for the wedding'
While there has been speculation Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough’s wedding may not be going ahead, the Today host has just shut down the rumours by revealing he’s “shedding for the wedding”.
Talking on KIIS FM’s Jase & PJ Show, the 43-year-old discussed some paparazzi photos of himself taken whilst playing tennis recently, admitting he was chuffed with the way he looked.
“I was photographed playing tennis the other day and I thought, ‘I’ve shed a bit of weight for the wed!'” he told the duo. “Shedding for the wedding!”
Despite being on the road to getting in shape for his wedding to the 33-year-old shoe designer, Karl admitted some of the photo’s weren’t the best.
“There were some bad shots of me… I looked at myself and I thought, ‘That is unflattering,'” he added.
Karl has spoken previously about the fact Jas is trying to encourage him to get healthy, revealing that a snap of them reportedly looking ‘tense’ at a cafe recently was actually him upset because his other half wouldn’t let him have a muffin.
While details of when the pair are planning on getting hitched are being kept quiet, the pair have already enjoyed a “commitment ceremony” back in March.
The TV presenter has been criticised for moving on from his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn, quickly, but recently told KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O that he doesn’t owe anyone an apology for his actions.
“At the end of the day I’m in love and I’m sorry if that causes anyone hurt,” he said. “But I won’t be apologising to my nearest and dearest because I don’t need to.”
