Kansas City Chiefs Win in Germany as Travis Kelce Becomes New All-Time Leading Receiver in Franchise History
The tight end now has a career total of 10,941 receiving yards, surpassing Tony Gonzalez's previous record by one
Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are basking in their latest victory!
One week after a “frustrating” loss against the Denver Broncos, Travis Kelce and the NFL team were able to defeat the Miami Dolphins 21-14 at Sunday's game in Frankfurt, Germany.
The Chiefs dominated early on with a solid 21-point lead by the end of the first half, with two touchdown passes thrown by quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the second quarter, per ESPN.
Although the Kansas City team failed to score in the second half, the Miami Dolphins came up short by the end of the game with only 14 points in the third quarter.

As for the Kansas City tight end, Kelce, 34, finished the game with 14 yards on 3 catches.
According to The Athletic, that makes Kelce’s career total for receiving yards 10,941 — which allowed him to surpass Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez's previous record of 10,940 to become the new all-time leading receiver in Chiefs franchise history.
Even after breaking the record, Kelce's performance at Sunday's game proves the Swift statistic — that when the music icon is at Chiefs games, Kelce averages more than double the amount of yards than when she isn’t — is still in effect, seeing as Taylor Swift was not in Germany to cheer on the Chiefs and her beau.

On last week’s episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Travis opened up to his brotherJason Kelce about his improved performance on the field when Swift, 33, is there to cheer him on.
“When T Swift is at the game, you are averaging 99 yards and when you are left with only your friends and remaining family there, you are at 46.5 yards a game," the Philadelphia Eagles center, 35, said,
Travis replied: "It's kind of hard for me to wrap my head around that sentence.”
Yet a week later, following the team’s 24-9 loss to the Broncos, Kelce shared that his team as a whole lacked a “sense of urgency” against Russell Wilson’s team in the Taylor-less loss.
The NFL star said he "felt awkward during the game" and that the Chiefs offensive line "couldn't get anything going.”
"That’s embarrassing, man," Travis told his brother.
As the team looked to address its issues on offense leading up to this week’s international game, Travis himself was again the focus on many sports reporters’ minds.
On Friday, a member of the media threw him a hardball question during his press conference — but he received it with a smile.
During his scheduled media availability, one reporter asked the NFL star a bold personal question about his budding romance with Swift. According to ESPN's Jeff Darlington, the reporter asked, "What is the latest status and are you in love?"
In a video shared by the El Capologist Podcast on X, Kelce replied with a grin, "The latest status is I got to see her last week. That's the latest status right there."
The reporter didn't let Kelce dodge that second part of her question, however, because she quickly chimed in, "And the second question was ... are you in love?"
Kelce, still smiling, responded, "I'm going to keep my personal relationship personal."
The new couple has been making headlines for their ongoing relationship ever since Swift first attended one of his games, when she watched the Chiefs' blowout victory against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 24 in Kansas City.
