Kansas City Chiefs' Matt Bushman's Wife on Super Bowl Ticket Prices — and Why Their Kids Will Stay Home
The couples' two daughters will watch from home with other family members
Figuring out the logistics of Super Bowl week when you're a mom and NFL wife can be tough.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Matt Bushman's wife, Emily, posted a TikTok video explaining this week's prep as part of a continuing behind-the-scenes look at all things Super Bowl she's been sharing on the app.
"So, two weeks before the players have to get all of the logistics figured out. The players get a certain amount of tickets for the Super Bowl and only two of them are comped," Emily explained as she walked with 7-month-old daughter Micah Jane in a carrier.
Emily — who is well versed in the NFL as the daughter of retired tight end Chad Lewis, who played for Andy Reid on the Philadelphia Eagles in the late '90s — continued to explain how players and their families are responsible for purchasing any other tickets.
"The tickets are about four times as much as they usually are," Emily noted of Super Bowl LVIII, which will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Explaining the degree of detail each player needs to know about their guest's whereabouts, from which events they will attend to how they will get there, Emily referenced a discussion between Jason and Kylie Kelce in their Amazon Prime documentary, Kelce, which showed the family preparing for last year's Super Bowl.
"Just like it was explained in the Kelce documentary, even newborns count as a ticket. So thankfully, my mom's gonna watch my girls during the game," said the mom of two, who also shares 2-year-old daughter Andie Mae with her NFL star husband.
Though hammering through these logistics can seem daunting, the mom of two said, "It's all part of the fun."
"That's what the players have been going through this week. Getting all this organized, helps them to get focused on the game for next week."
The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will face off in Super Bowl LVIII, airing on CBS on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
