After campaigning in North Carolina and Georgia just a few hours before, Vice President Kamala made a pit stop in New York City Saturday night to make her SNL debut right before the presidential election on Tuesday.

While her appearance was kept hush-hush all week, news started to break that she might actually appear on the live televised program when Air Force Two diverted to NYC instead of Detroit, Michigan, Saturday night — and X, formally known as Twitter, started to freak out.

Thankfully, the rumors were true. The cold open started with CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins (played by Chloe Fineman) discussing how both presidential candidates were making their final pitches to the American people. Next, you see former president Donald Trump (played by James Austin Johnson) at one of his rallies.

This leads to Doug Emhoff (played by Andy Samberg) turning off the rally that was on the TV. Of course, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz (played by Maya Rudolph and Jim Gaffigan) are there with him, and they end up discussing what they just witnessed.

After Tim Walz leaves to play Fortnite with AOC, and Joe Biden (played by Dana Carvey) makes a quick appearance, Kamala asks her husband for some alone time to get ready for her speech.

Kamala then sits at the vanity and wishes that she could talk to someone who's been in her shoes. Poof — the OG Kamala appears.

They talk about Donald Trump, opening garbage truck doors, and Kamala's laugh. They also hold each other's hands and spit a new phrase: "Keep Calmala and Carry Onala."

At the end of the sketch, Maya tells Kamala she has to tell "herself" something: "I'm going to vote for us." Kamala asks, "Any chance you're registered in Pennsylvania?" Maya answers, "Nope, I am not."
