Junk in the trunk? Tidy up with this top-selling car organizer, down to $23

Straps and a nonslip bottom keep it in one spot, and it folds down nice and neat when you don't need it.

Pre-parenthood, I prided myself on my clean car — no leftover food, gym bags or paperwork cluttering up the space. But now, with a little one in the back seat, all that's out the window. Books, snacks, blankets and toys seem to set up shop inside my car, turning it into a mobile playroom.

The answer? A car storage organizer. Not only does it create a designated space for all that kid clutter, but it keeps everything in one place, making cleanup a breeze. And today, Amazon has slashed the price on the bestselling Fortem Car Storage Organizer to just $23 for Prime members.

Don't love passersby being able to see everything in your car? Here's a clever solution.

Why is this a good deal? 💰

Can you really put a price on peace of mind? I'd argue no, but if you can, then surely it would be more than $23. A good organizer means no more searching for things under car seats, and no more thinking about all of the clutter every time you sit down in your car.

Why do I need this? 🤔

Let's be honest: Your car could use some organization. Even those who keep only the basics in their vehicle need something to help contain those basics, right?

Fortem's car organizer has three roomy compartments to hold just about anything you've got lying around your car. It also makes for a handy spot to keep groceries from slipping around the trunk after a big shopping trip. Small pockets around the exterior are perfect for things like loose snacks and pencils. A nonslip bottom and straps help keep it in place, and you can even connect two or more organizers with interlocking buckles if you have a lot of gear.

A folding lid keeps your stuff hidden from prying eyes. These organizers come in seven colors — beige, gray, black, blue, desert camo, forest camo and pink — so you can match your box to your car's interior. Don't need it at any given moment? Collapse it and set it aside until next time.

What reviewers say 💬

Over 34,000 fans swear by the Fortem Car Storage Organizer's handiness and durability, and 2,000 of these car organizers have flown off the virtual shelves in the past month.

Pros 👍

"I love that I can put all the things that are roaming around in the back of my SUV all in one place," said a five-star fan. "I was worried about it sliding around the back, but it holds well in the place you put it and, if needed to move, you can do that as well. The top is nice to have so people can't see what all is in it."

A fellow happy user called the Fortem a "great car organizer." They added, "It comes with barriers to make the sections as big as you please. It is very sturdy overall and has a lot of space. The pockets are a nice touch and this thing also comes with hooks to attach if your car comes with any already to prevent it from sliding around. I use this to add all my miscellaneous products just to make it look more presentable and organized."

Another content customer, a nurse, used this to keep things organized for work. "I am a hospice nurse and I carry a lot of supplies in my car. This has helped me organize and keep track of supplies. Really easy to assemble and install. Love the Velcro on the bottom, prevents sliding and movement."

Cons 👎

One user thought the photos were slightly misleading, saying, "I like it and it will serve its purpose, but the image makes it look like a solid lid but it's really a fabric cover that you Velcro in the back and the front."

Another buyer wasn't impressed with the sturdiness of the materials. "The material is thinner than I expected, so I wouldn't put many sharp or heavy items in there, but so far it has helped make my trunk more presentable." They added, "The ability to move the organizer around is helpful when on long-distance road trips or tailgating when I need more flat space in the back of my truck."

Fortem's organizer weighs under 4 pounds, making it easy to move around as needed. Included straps allow you to secure it in one spot.
