Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy and Milly Alcock to Lead Netflix’s Dark Comedy Sirens

Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy and Milly Alcock have all joined Netflix’s upcoming limited series Sirens in leading roles, our sister site Variety reports.

The dark comedy (from Maid creator Molly Smith Metzler) is told over the course of one weekend at a lavish beach estate. Per the official logline, “Devon (The White Lotus’ Fahy) thinks her sister Simone (House of the Dragon’s Alcock) has a really creepy relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell (Moore). Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention. When Devon tracks her sister down to say WTF, she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be.”

Additionally, Deadline reports that Kevin Bacon (City on a Hill) has been cast as Michaela’s husband Peter, while Glenn Howerton (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will play Ethan Corbin II, “a dear friend of the Kells and life-long bachelor who lives next door.”

Rounding out the cast are recurring guest stars Josh Segarra (Abbott Elementary), Felix Solis (Ozark), Trevor Salter (She-Hulk), Britne Oldford (Umbrella Academy), Lauren Weedman (Hacks), Jenn Lyon (Dead Boy Detectives), Erin Neufer (Fellow Travelers) and Emily Borromeo (Blue Bloods).

Moore, who won an Emmy for playing Sarah Palin in the 2012 film Game Change, was most recently seen in TV shows like Mary & George and Lisey’s Story. Fahy earned critical acclaim and an Emmy nomination for her turn in Season 2 of HBO’s The White Lotus. She is also known for starring in the Freeform series The Bold Type for five seasons. Alcock is best known for her role in Season 1 of House of the Dragon.

Metzler will serve as writer, showrunner and executive producer. Additional EPs include Dani Gorin, Tom Ackerley and Margot Robbie.
