PREVIOUS, August 1: Joshua Jackson is ready to set sail in ABC’s Doctor Odyssey as is shown in a short teaser released on Thursday above. The series premieres on Thursday, September 26 on ABC and Hulu.
As is the case with any Ryan Murphy series, no details about the premise are being revealed. As the title suggests, Doctor Odyssey is believed to be a medical procedural set on a cruise ship which appears to be confirmed in the clip.
“Doctor, it’s your job to keep everybody alive,” Don Johnson tells Doctor Odyssey (Jackson) seconds before the latter begins CPR on someone on board.
A few beats earlier, Phillipa Soo and Sean Teale’s characters render aid assisting the titular doctor. Character names for Johnson, Soo and Teale are under wraps.
Doctor Odyssey is written and executive produced by Murphy, Jackson, Johnson Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken. Paris Barclay directs and executive produces. Eric Paquette, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson and Nissa Diederich also executive produce.
