The A Place In The Sun star has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has previously said he is determined to make the most of any time he has left with his wife Jess and their three sons – Rex, four, and three-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac.
He and his family celebrated the bank holiday weekend by heading to a wildlife park in Yorkshire, and the star said they had a blast.
Irwin shared a string of snaps from their trip on Instagram, with some showing him posing with his family and others showing the animals they saw.
“Just back from an incredible couple of days and a night at @yorkshirewildlifepark,” he told his followers.
“Really well thought out for families with the animals, ranger talks, live shows and on site accom.
"I’d definitely recommend the trip for families as it was one of the most fun weekends we’ve done and the boys were constantly engaged. Lots of space.
Top marks to all the staff and @wildlife_fdn who create a great experience for everyone.”
“We’ll be back!” added the 49-year-old.
Fans loved the update and said it was great to see the presenter making memories with his wife and their boys.
“You are such an incredible man Jonnie, such an inspiration,” said one.
“Stay strong Mr J, you’re an absolute diamond,” said another.
Somebody else chimed in: “You’re looking good big man.”
“Great pics,” said another fan.
“The boys look like they've had a brilliant day. You look great too x.”
Irwin was told that he had terminal lung cancer – which has now spread to his brain – in 2020, and he went public with his diagnosis last year.
He has since told fans that he kept his illness quiet at first because he didn't want to be treated differently and was worried that it could lead to him losing work.
