Jonathan and Jordan Knight Are Returning to HGTV in "Outstanding" Way

Get ready for some big stakes! Rock the Block, HGTV’s highest-rated series of the year so far, is upping the ante with its upcoming season. Set to premiere in spring 2025, the new season is bringing a major twist, setting set two veteran teams against two rookie teams in the exciting home renovation competition.

Returning host and famed carpenter, craftsman, and design expert Ty Pennington is back to charge the duos with extreme renovations. The returning teams—Windy City Rehab star Alison Victoria with previous Rock the Block champion Michel Smith Boyd and Farmhouse Fixer star Jonathan Knight with his brother and New Kids on the Block bandmate Jordan—will take on the two rookie duos: Down Home Fab’s married couple and reno experts Chelsea and ColeDeBoer and Renovation Aloha’s Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama. The teams will face some of the biggest obstacles and some of the biggest houses yet.

HGTV took to Instagram to share the highly anticipated news of the show’s return.

“Your favorite epic renovation battle is returning in Spring 2025!

This time around on Rock the Block, though, there's a twist: it's Veterans vs. Rookies—expect to see former competitors and judges face off against Block newcomers just outside of Salt Lake City for bragging rights and a street named in their honor. And, yes, @thetypennington will be back to host! Stay tuned for more info,” reads the post.

Fans jumped in, quick to express their delight.

“This season is stacked! Already having a hard time who to cheer for!” one fan writes.

"I love all of these designers but Allison and Michel are going to absolutely kill it!" another said.

The Knight brothers got tons of reactions from NKOTB fans: "Jonathan and Jordan all day long… not only are they great designers, they seem to be outstanding human beings too."

Former Rock the Block competitor Sarah Baeumler wrote, "❤️so much talent here! Love you all (but also secretly voting for the veterans!). And @thetypennington so happy to see you back on the block 🙌🙌"

“I like how you said, ‘and yes @thetypennington will be the host.’ HGTV lifers would never think otherwise!” another added.

Season 6 will be available for fans to stream in Spring 2025. Fans can stream past seasons of Rock the Block on Max and Discovery +. More updates will be available at HGTV.com and on HGTV’s social channels.
