John Cena Admitted That Appearing Naked At The Oscars Was More Difficult Than Any Other Sex Scene He's Filmed

John Cena is never one to shy away from a silly goofy moment, especially ones where he's filming almost entirely nude.

In a recent interview, he shared that while those scenes might seem like all fun and games on screen, they're actually so much more awkward to film. "It’s the worst," he said on Shannon Sharpe's show Club Shay Shay.

“There are so many people you need to make a movie,” he continued. “There’s nothing intimate about it. Nothing. Like, it’s really embarrassing.”

He recalled filming a funny sex scene with Amy Schumer for the movie Trainwreck, saying, "On top of that, to do a comedic sex scene, where you’re like, making fun of yourself? They literally [said], 'Try to have the most awkward sex you possibly can.' I don’t want to say it sucks, but it’s different than you all think it was."

But so far, no sex scenes have been as difficult as it was for John to appear at the Oscars in 2024 almost fully naked. “I got all the people behind the camera, but then I walk out in front of a room of my peers, many of which I’ve never met because I haven’t worked my way up to meet [them],” he said.

"I have the most decorated performers, producers, directors in one room, and I’m gonna go out there with my balls in the wind, with an index card covering my stuff like, 'Hey guys, is this funny? Are we good?'" he added.

John admitted that when he got the call from host Jimmy Kimmel, he thought he "would be more naked," but luckily it was not the case.

"I expected full dick and nuts, but it’s Disney, so they put tape on my buttcrack and stuff. That was even more embarrassing. Going out there with a taped butthole? It’s tough," he finished.
