When you’re the best competitive eater in the world, there’s only one way to celebrate National Chicken Wing Day: By heading to Hooters and eating as many wings as possible.

Naturally, that’s exactly what Joey Chestnut did.

On Monday, the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest winner sat down at a Hooters in the Mall of Georgia to celebrate the holiday, taking full advantage of the wing chain’s $15.99 all-you-can-eat-deal.

Chestnut sat down at 11 a.m. when the restaurant opened, and got to work.

It didn’t take long for him to draw a crowd, either.

By the time he was done, nearly 12 hours later, Chestnut had downed 413 chicken wings.

If anybody could pull this feat off, it’s Chestnut. The 35-year-old — who has won 12 of the past 13 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contests and set the world record last year by eating 74 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes — holds over 40 food-related world records, including two wing-related records. He ate 7.61 pounds of buffalo chicken wings in 12 minutes in 2012, and then 182 chicken wings in 30 minutes for the long form record.

While Monday’s meal was far less stressful than his 182 wings in just 30 minutes, it’s still extremely impressive. Clearly, Chestnut has set the new standard for celebrating National Chicken Wing Day.
