JJ Lin song Lose Control is on the soundtrack of Shang-chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings

The soundtrack of Marvel Studio's first movie led by an Asian cast, Shang-chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, features a song performed by Singaporean Mandopop superstar, JJ Lin.

The track, titled 'Lose Control', features vocals by JJ Lin, but was written by several writers: Daniel Tannenbaum, Craig Balmoris, Marius Feder, Marvel Comics, Marvel Music, Pete Gonzales, Sean Miyashiro, Sergiu Gherman, and Tyler Mehlenbacher.

The electropop song's producing credits include Bekon, The Donuts, Craig Balmoris, and Sean Miyashiro.

In keeping with the movie's groundbreaking Asian presentation in Hollywood, the soundtrack album was executive produced by Asian American label, 88rising, who was brought in by Shang-chi's director, Destin Daniel Cretton, to create an album that would feature Asian artists around the world.

The 18-track album was released on 3 September. It features tracks by artists from 88rising as well as international collaborators.

88rising artists include Rich Brian, NIKI, Warren Hue, Masiwei, and Guapdad 4000.

Other artists involved in the album include US artists Anderson .Paak, 21 Savage, Jhené Aiko, Mark Tuan and Rick Ross; and South Korean stars DPR Live, Seori, DPR Ian, Zion.T and Bibi.

Actor Simu Liu himself, who stars as the titular superhero of Shang-chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, performed the album track ‘Hot Soup’.
