Jimmy Fallon Wallops Trump In A Sensitive Spot After Elon Musk's Rally Appearance
Jimmy Fallon threw shade at Donald Trump on a topic that’s close to the former president’s heart: his wealth.
The “Tonight Show” host brought it up while discussing Elon Musk’s appearance at a Trump rally on Saturday. The billionaire owner of X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, was ridiculed online after he gleefully jumped up and down behind Trump on the stage.
Fallon said Musk’s presence was “exciting for all the Trump supporters, because for the first time, they got to see an actual billionaire.”
“During the rally, Trump praised Elon Musk for saving free speech with X, and Elon praised Trump for making Truth Social so bad that people still use X,” he added.
According to a Forbes estimate last month, the Republican nominee’s net wealth sits around $3.9 billion.
He currently faces millions of dollars in legal fines and fees, including nearly half a billion dollars he could be forced to pay if he loses his appeal of a civil judgment that he fraudulently inflated his wealth by billions of dollars for many years.
