Jimmy Fallon Sent Mark Consuelos Flowers After Bitter Sexiest Man Alive Feud: 'There Was Never Any Competition'
Neither of the two talk show hosts took home PEOPLE's top prize — the crown went to John Krasinski — but Consuelos won Sexiest TV Show Host for the second year in a row
Jimmy Fallon has admitted defeat!
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon host sent Mark Consuelos flowers after their showdown in PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive readers' choice poll, Consuelos and Kelly Ripa revealed on Dec. 13 on Live with Kelly and Mark. Despite a bitterly waged war on their respective shows, which included attack ads and Fallon calling for Consuelos to step down, for the second year in a row, Consuelos took top honors in his category in the popular poll.
Ripa and Consuelos arrived at their home last night to find "the most consequential flower arrangement I've ever seen," Ripa said.

The vase was roughly four feet tall and overflowing with white roses; Consuelos estimated 500, though Ripa guessed the actual number was higher. The whole arrangement was a bit taller than Consuelos, who stands at 5-ft.-8-in.
"To the Sexiest Talk Show Host out there: There was never really any competition — Jimmy," the message read.
Kimmel — who was promoting his No. 1-ranked Christmas album Holiday Seasoning — then joined Ripa and Consuelos, his top rival in PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive polls, on their show.
"PEOPLE's Sexiest Talk Show Host and everyone voted, and Mark Consuelos mopped the floor with me," Kimmel said. "And he won. And you really did it and you deserve it."

"It got ugly, it got dirty," Ripa added.
Kimmel said he aired some "attack ads" to try to sway votes. He tried so hard to clinch the title, he said — he even asked Consuelos to rescind his name from consideration in hopes of boosting his own chances.
"I tried! I tried to drop out, but the people at PEOPLE said 'you can't drop out," Consuelos said.
"I did ask them after the fact if it was close, and they said it was very close," he continued, adding, "You won the electoral college."
Kimmel didn't care for any of Consuelos's excuses.
"I asked you to drop out! Respectfully drop out of the race! I got to go around the city — I got to see you all over the city with no clothes on!" Kimmel said, and then showed Consuelos a photo of himself on a billboard.
"Man, I tried really hard," Kimmel lamented. "You're the best, you're a good sport about it."
