Jessica Simpson Shares Sweet Selfie with Daughter: 'Me and My Birdie'

Jessica Simpson shared a sweet snap with her youngest child!

The “Irresistible” singer, 44, posted a selfie of herself and daughter Birdie Mae, 5, on Instagram on Saturday, Aug. 24.

"Me and My Birdie My Birdie and Me…," she captioned the post.

In the photo, the two are snuggled together in a chair with a blanket over their laps. Birdie is wearing a long-sleeve shirt with hearts on it, while Simpson rocks a red flannel top. The mother-daughter duo are all smiles with the fashion designer sticking her tongue out.

Simpson shares Birdie and her two other kids, Maxwell "Maxi" Drew, 12, and Ace Knute, 11, with her husband Eric Johnson, whom she married in 2014.

Earlier this summer, the singer shared a playful photo of herself and her daughters at her son's basketball game on Instagram. "Cheerin’ for Ace with his sisters from the sidelines 🏀🏀🏀," she captioned the photo, which shows the three of them with wide smiles.

A few days prior, Simpson posted a black-and-white photo of Ace on Instagram, writing, "I’m gonna be a braggin’ Mom for a moment and just say that I have the kindest, most handsome 11yr old son on the planet."

Simpson made another post about Birdie in June, calling her the "cutest girl" on her Instagram Stories as she modeled her mom’s shoe line.

The Dukes of Hazzard star recently teased that she was working on new music after clapping back at a social media follower who accused her of drinking again.

She shared a photo of herself wearing a pink lace mini dress underneath a red mixed-print kimono with fringe detailing while posing outside Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

Without revealing too much, she put a simple musical note in the caption.

Simpson confirmed in a November 2023 interview with Footwear News that she has been gearing up to release an album, saying, "Writing music has become a beautiful therapeutic thing for me that I didn’t know was so natural, but it’s because I haven’t done it in so long."
