Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Child Spends Thanksgiving in the Hospital: 'I Wasn't the Only One with a Kid in the ER'
The 'Modern Family' alum shared a snap on Thursday, Nov. 28 of one of his sons in the emergency room on Thanksgiving
Jesse Tyler Ferguson is choosing gratitude.
On Thursday, Nov. 28, the actor, 49, revealed that one of his sons spent Thanksgiving in the ER.
Ferguson — who shares sons Beckett Mercer, 4, and Sullivan ‘Sully’ Louis, 2, with his husband Justin Mikita — shared a snap of his son sleeping on top of him while they lay in a hospital bed.
“I have received a lot of parenting wisdom from @itsjuliebowen so seeing I wasn't the only one with a kid in the ER on Thanksgiving was comforting. (He's also fine.),” his caption read. “Thank you to the kind folks at Lennox Health. NYC really DOES have the best healthcare.”

Ferguson's Modern Family costar Julie Bowen revealed that one of her sons also had a trip to the ER.
"It’s not a holiday without a trip to the ER. (He’s fine, btw) HAPPY THANKSGIVING," her caption read as her son stood in front of the hospital. Bowen shares Oliver, 17, John 15, and Gustav, 15, with ex husband Scott Phillips.
In the comment section of Ferguson's post, many of his followers expressed their relief in knowing that his son was fine.
“Glad he's okay! Besides that hope you had a good thanksgiving,” one person wrote, while another added, “aw so sorry to hear but glad he’s in the best of hands ❤️🫶🏻.”

Ferguson also shared a carousel of his mother Anne Ferguson following her passing on Nov. 25.
“This photo of me taking my first steps away from my mom's opened arms is one of my favorite pictures,” he wrote alongside a childhood photo of himself and his mom. “In recent days I helped my mom take some of her last steps.”
He added, “We said goodbye to her on Tuesday November 25. Today I give thanks that I was able to be with her in her final moments on this earth. You only get one mom and I'm glad she was mine. My arms will always be open for you. RIP Mom.”
Meanwhile, on Black Friday, Nov. 29, Ferguson shared a photo on his Instagram Stories of his son dressed in a suit while looking out of a window.
"Thankful for friends who are helping us build memories for our kids," his caption read.
