Proving yet again that she is not only ageless but perhaps even ageing backwards, 50-year-old Jennifer Lopez has stepped out looking ‘better than ever’ in a dress she originally wore nearly two decades ago.

J.Lo threw it all the way back to the year 2000 when she slipped into that famous Versace ‘jungle’ dress for the luxury fashion brand’s Spring-Summer 2020 runway show on Friday in Milan.

Guests at the Milan Fashion Week were left gobsmacked as the inimitable singer and actor sashayed her way down the runway, appearing not a day older than the first time she donned the plunging gown as a fresh-faced 29-year-old at the Grammy Awards.

After tearing up the catwalk, Jenny from the Block was joined by the designer behind the now-famous look, Donatella Versace, and the pair shared a fond embrace.

While the dress isn’t an exact replica of the 2000 original, this updated version retains all the hallmarks including the plunging neckline, floaty fabric and, of course, the iconic jungle green print.

In fact, the jungle dress 2.0 may be even more daring, ditching the original design’s long sleeves and adding cut-outs over the hips - no doubt to show off J.Lo’s enviable physique.

The Hustlers star’s throwback moment is being hailed on social media by many as the ‘most iconic’ of the entire week.

“2000?! She looks even better today2019!” exclaimed one fan in the comment section of the official Versace Instagram account.

“JLo never looked better,” added another.

“The most iconic moment of MFW,” declared one.

While others simply wrote, “Stunnin,” “Bravo!!” and “God bless jlo”.

J.Lo breaks the internet

Long before Kim Kardashian ‘broke the internet’ by balancing a champagne glass on her pert derrière in 2014, 29-year-old Jennifer Lopez was doing just that.

In 2000, J.Lo was just emerging as a bona fide pop star following the success of her first single, “If You Had My Love,” when she walked the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards red carpet arm-in-arm with then-boyfriend, well-known rapper Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs.

But all eyes were firmly on J.Lo, and for one reason only: her navel-baring, silk chiffon, split-to-there Versace gown.

Photos of the dress were reportedly downloaded over 500,000 times from the Grammy website in the first 24 hours after the event, and it went on to inspire a little company called Google to create Google Images.

Fast-forward nearly 20 years and Jennifer, Versace and Google are celebrating their shared milestone.

“For the Spring-Summer 2020 Collection, Versace honours an iconic moment when fashion and culture became a catalyst for technological progress,” the brand wrote on Instagram.

Versace Donatella Chief Creative Officer even used Google Assistant to announce J.Lo on the runway.

“Phew! Talk about INNOVATION! Now THAT is how you break the internet before breaking the internet became a thing!” praised one fan online.
