A list actor Jennifer Lawrence is back in the spotlight after almost three years. She has a new film, Don’t Look Up an 'end of the world comedy' about climate change about to launch, and she's on the cover of Vanity Fair looking Sixties-supermodel levels of cool and beautiful.

But while she looks incredible, fans have been taken aback by her resemblance to a fellow blonde star.

"Jennifer Lawrence now looks like Blake Lively" tweeted one, while another added "LOL I thought it was Blake Lively" and another agreed "At quick glance I thought that was Blake Lively."

Many Instagram commentators agreed, with some criticising "Photoshopping".

One fan wrote: "She doesn't need Photoshop, just take her picture and she's gorgeous!"

She certainly looks amazing as the magazine's December cover star, as she returns to the public eye.

But while her work life has been under the radar since before the pandemic, her personal life has been all systems go.

Two years ago, she married art gallery director Cooke Maroney, and she's now pregnant with her first child. They're currently living in a rented home, while their Manhattan house is being renovated.

Lawrence talks during the interview about her desire for privacy on behalf of her unborn baby, and admits she recently sent her much loved dog, Pippi, to live in her parents' Kentucky farm, to avoid the daily beseigement by the paparazzi when she walks him.

Speaking about her more recent films, after her huge early success with Winter's Bone and The Hunger Games trilogy, followed by Silver Linings Playbook, for which she won her Oscar, and American Hustle, the four-times-Oscar-nominated actor admitted that her choices had not been stellar.

Passengers, Mother!, Red Sparrow, and the 12th X-Men film, Dark Phoenix all proved disappointing, and she told Vanity Fair, “I was not pumping out the quality that I should have...I just think everybody had gotten sick of me. I’d gotten sick of me.

"It had just gotten to a point where I couldn’t do anything right. If I walked a red carpet, it was, ‘Why didn’t she run?’… I think that I was people-pleasing for the majority of my life.

"Working made me feel like nobody could be mad at me... And then I felt like I reached a point where people were not pleased just by my existence. So that kind of shook me out of thinking that work or your career can bring any kind of peace to your soul.”

Lawrence, 31, also spoke briefly about her husband. The couple married in October 2019, six months before lockdown, in a ceremony on Rhode Island - according to reports, Adele flew in and sang a special set for guests.

Speaking about Maroney, Lawrence added:

“I really enjoy going to the grocery store with him. I don’t know why but it fills me with a lot of joy. I think maybe because it’s almost a metaphor for marriage. ‘Okay, we’ve got this list. These are the things we need. Let’s work together and get this done.’"

And Maroney will tell her she's never going to use it. "I say, ‘Yes, I am. Tuesday!’ And he’s always right, and I never do.”

Speaking of her new movie, in which she co-stars as an angry climate change scientist alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Ariana Grande and Meryl Streep, she sweetly said:

“My biggest concern was I did not want to annoy Meryl Streep. That’s my worst nightmare."

It seems very unlikely that she did.
