Jen Affleck is getting real about 2024.

On Dec. 31, the 25-year-old The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star posted a TikTok of her crying. Though she did not speak, the sound she used excerpted Queen Latifah’s speech in Last Holiday. “Wasted too much of my life being quiet,” the sound says. “I was afraid I guess. You know how it is. You keep your head down and hustle and hustle.”

In the caption, Jen wrote, “The hardest year of my life. But one that will forever change me and who I want to be.”

The mom of two’s post comes amid months of speculation about her marriage to Zac Affleck. In September, the couple sold their Utah home not long after The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premiered and moved to New York in order for Zac to attend med school. However, Jen was vocal both on the series and on TikTok about not wanting to move.

In an episode of the series, Jen and Zac had a blowup fight after she visited Chippendales with the show’s cast. "Zac’s making me feel like I did do something, like I cheated on him or something. I clearly didn’t do anything, and he knows my heart and my intentions," Jen said during a confessional. "And so it’s so upsetting that he doesn’t believe me or trust me. I would never do anything to jeopardize our marriage and it makes me sad that he doesn’t feel that way."

Jen has also hinted at martial discord on her social media accounts. In October, she posted a video where she was not wearing her wedding ring. However, a source told PEOPLE at the time that breakup rumors were unfounded and that Jen has never consistently worn her ring.

In September, when the series aired, Jen defended Zac in an Instagram post, writing in part, "We were just kids when we got married. Young, naive, and inexperienced, we truly had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Coming from completely different backgrounds, families, and upbringings, it didn’t seem to make sense."

She said she and her husband are “polar opposites” and explained, "But that’s what marriage is, we keep trying. I truly believe there were lessons we both needed to teach each other.”

Back in September, Jen spoke to PEOPLE about the “tricky” financial dynamics in her marriage because of the income from her social media fame. "I definitely think it was tricky for me and my husband at first because he was the provider for the first couple of years. And it wasn't like he was just making little money — he made great money and he also comes from a very wealthy, traditional family," she explained. "So I think it was very normal for him to be the provider and for me to be at home and be a stay-at-home wife and mother."

She said that for “a long time,” they were “comparing who provides more,” but now they are “a team” that’s “working together.” She noted, “Roles are going to look different in different stages of our life."

Jen’s Mormon Wives cast member Taylor Frankie Paul shared her support in the comments of her Dec. 31 post, writing, “I LOVE YOU, I hear you, I feel for you, and most of all I’m here for you. ♥️”
