Jeff Corwin to Host New CBS Series ‘Extraordinary World’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Television biologist and wildlife conservationist Jeff Corwin will host a new show on CBS and Paramount+ titled “Extraordinary World,” which premieres on Jan. 4 and will air weekly.
The 30-minute series, from Hearst Media Production Group, will follow everyday people who are making an impact through animal advocacy, wildlife conservation, youth empowerment and food insecurity aid.
Corwin, who has previously hosted shows such as Disney Channel’s “Going Wild” and ABC’s “Ocean Mysteries,” will team up with the Brady Hunter Foundation for “Extraordinary World” to take viewers across the country and spotlight acts of compassion and generosity, from cleaning beaches in Florida to helping people on the streets of New York City and Los Angeles. Guest celebrities, including NBA players, will appear in the episodes to emphasize the importance of driving positive change.
“Through our partnership with The Brady Hunter Foundation, this uplifting series will delight and inspire viewers of all ages and is a perfect addition to the CBS WKND schedule,” said Bryan Curb, Hearst Media Production Group’s executive vice president and general manager of education and information.
Josh Fox, the founder and CEO of the Brady Hunter Foundation, added in a statement, “‘Extraordinary World amplifies our mission at The Brady Hunter Foundation — which is to give a voice to the voiceless and vulnerable, including animals, children and the food insecure, while promoting causes that make the world a better place.”
“Extraordinary World” joins Hearst Media Production Group’s portfolio of more than 30 original series. The production house is represented by United Talent Agency.
