Awkward optical illusion in royal wedding photo

Jazmin Grimaldi has confused her followers after posting a photo of herself at a recent royal wedding to Instagram.

The snap shows the actress and humanitarian, who is the love child of Monaco’s Prince Albert II, standing inbetween two friends in a couture Malan Breton gown - but that’s not what her fans were noticing.

The dress’ billowing sleeves created an awkward optical illusion as Jazmin wrapped both her arms around her pals, causing one person to write, “Where are your arms?”

“Omg. What happened to your arms?” another exclaimed, while a third asked, “Are your arms behind you?!”

The photo was taken at the extravagant wedding of Jazmin’s cousin Louis Ducruet (the grandson of Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III) to Marie Chevallier.

The day saw the bride change into not two, but three wedding outfits, including a jumpsuit and a shorter gown with a hem above the knee.

Unrecognised royals

Although Louis doesn’t hold an official royal title, he is still 15th in line to the Monaco throne and is very much part of Monaco’s royal family.

Likewise 27-year-old Jazmin does not hold a royal title, despite being the daughter the daughter of Prince Albert II, who is now married to Princess Charlene.

Prince Albert and Jazmin’s mum, Tamara Rotolo, were never married, meaning Jazmin can never ascend to the throne, despite being formally recognised as the Prince’s daughter when she was 14.

Just like her grandmother Grace Kelly, Jazmin has forged a career as an actress and is set to star in the third season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
