Jane Lynch Says She Wants to Start a Podcast on 'Astrology, Philosophy and Near-Death Experience' (Exclusive)

'The Only Murders in the Building' actress spoke with PEOPLE exclusively at the season 4 premiere, revealing her vision for a potential podcast in the future

A career behind a different kind of mic could be written in the stars for Jane Lynch!

When walking the carpet at the season 4 premiere of Only Murders in the Building, the actress spoke with PEOPLE exclusively about a potential career in podcasting should the opportunity present itself in the future.

"I don't think it's going to happen, but I want to do an astrology podcast," Lynch (a Cancer born July 14) tells PEOPLE exclusively at the Paramount Lot in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Marking the seventh sign of the zodiac, falling after Gemini and before Leo, Cancer season spans from June 21 to July 22 each year. According to PEOPLE's resident astrology Kyle Thomas, Cancers are “especially nurturing, valuing domesticity and family greatly."

As for why Lynch is interested in pursuing this genre for a potential podcast?

"I love astrology. I love the major movements of the planets," the actress explains. "Not just personal astrology, but going back into history."

Lynch also has a co-host in mind, should she get this project off the ground: "There's this guy who lives in Hollywood, his name is Ronnie Pontiac. He's the smartest man I've ever seen. I want to do a podcast with him about astrology, philosophy and near-death experience."

For the meantime, Lynch still has her day job, which includes the newest season of the hit Hulu series. She opened up about working closely alongside Martin Short as she continues to play the stunt double to his character Charles.

"Well, the great thing about it is when we do a rehearsal for the scene, I just watch what he does and when he does this, when he does that, and if he changes it up, I have to stay on my toes," Lynch (who plays the role of Steve Martin's character's body double, Sazz) says of her costar.

The fourth installment stars Steve MartinSelena Gomez and Meryl Streep, in addition to Short and Lynch. It will follow Charles-Hayden Savage (Martin), Mabel Mora (Gomez) and Oliver Putnam (Short) searching for clues to solve Sazz Pataki's (Lynch) murder and determine who killed her.

At the same time that they're trying to uncover their friend's murderer, their journey will also lead them to Hollywood, thanks to a studio that's bringing the podcast to the big screen. Eugene LevyZach Galifianakis and Eva Longoria will be playing heightened versions of themselves in the show.

Season 4 of Only Murder in the Building premieres Tuesday, Aug. 27 on Hulu.
