James Corden jokes he wants to be Bond as he recreates 007 films with Daniel Craig

Watch: Daniel Craig has fun recreating Casino Royale with James Corden

James Corden joked that he wants to be James Bond as he and outgoing 007 Daniel Craig recreated scenes from some of the films about the suave spy.

Craig joined Corden on The Late Late Show for a hilarious segment where the pair performed scenes from blockbusters including Jurassic Park, Dirty Dancing and Star Wars.

They were joined by other guest stars, with Geena Davis popping up while they recreated the iconic car off a cliff scene from Thelma & Louise and Christopher Lloyd appearing in their take on Back To The Future.

When it got to their run-through of Craig’s Bond films, the actor repeatedly told the audience “The name's Bond. James Bond,” as he fought off Corden’s various villainous attacks.

But when it was time to perform a scene from Craig’s latest and last 007 movie, No Time To Die, Corden interrupted to make a light-hearted bid to take over the role.

Wheeling in a drinks cart carrying an “Appletini, shaken not stirred”, his own take on Bond’s favourite tipple, he said: “The name's Corden. James Corden.”

Craig looked shocked and asked what he was up to.

But the talk show host replied: “Come on, mate, give me a break. It's your last Bond movie, give someone else a shot. Yeah, let's do it!”

However, the actor then punched him in the face and Corden toppled over.

Looking into the camera, the actor says: “And now, for the last time. The last time.

"The name's Bond. James Bond.”
