Jalen Hurts returns the favor after superfan gets Hurts' name on his school backpack
After a young child named Alexander got Jalen Hurts’ name and number on his backpack, Hurts had to honor him.
Alexander’s mom tweeted a picture of her son’s backpack at the new Philadelphia Eagles quarterback in late July. He even got Hurts’ number at Alabama and with the Eagles put on it.
When everyone thinks your kid’s name is #JalenHurts bc he loves @JalenHurts and had to have a backpack with his name on it 🤦🏽♀️ #BoyMom pic.twitter.com/xuh1WEcPtY

Monday night, Hurts showed off his new blue backpack with Alexander’s name on it.

Pretty cool, huh? Hurts obviously didn’t have to do that. But he was clearly touched enough by Alexander’s backpack that he not only acknowledged it but got his own backpack as well.
Alexander was thrilled. His mom posted a picture of him Tuesday morning. With the backpack in it, of course.
Now to get them to calm down for virtual school. Lol @JalenHurts THANKS for this 😭 💙💚your little biggest fan Alexander (and big bro Bray @CameronNewton fan) sooooo happy. My 2 future QBs. Hurts is entering his first season in the NFL after he was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft. He finished second in the Heisman voting to Joe Burrow in 2019 in his only season as Oklahoma’s starting quarterback. Hurts transferred to Oklahoma as a graduate transfer after he played three seasons — and started two national championship games — at Alabama.
