Home and Away star Jake Ryan welcomes baby boy with unusual name

Home and Away's Jake Ryan has welcomed a baby boy with partner Alice Quiddington on Sunday.

Sharing the exciting news with friends and fans on Instagram, the new parents also revealed the sweet name they had chosen for their little boy.

“Be still, my beating heart. WOLF RYAN....mind blowing experience... Alice was phenomenal and recovering well. Superwomen,” Summer Bay's Robbo wrote in a gushing post.

“A big thank you to all the nurses, doctors, midwifes and support staff at @royalforwomen Randwick women’s hospital. Amazing amazing team of humans that brought our little mate into the world,” he added.

New mum Alice also shared her own post saying welcoming her little man was one of the most intense and incredible experiences of her life.

“Jake is already super dad status and was the most amazing support to me throughout the whole pregnancy and birth, I couldn’t have done it without him,” she added.

Congratulations have been rolling in from fellow co-stars, with plenty of other celebrities also wishing the couple well.

“He’s here! Congratulations friend, I’m so so thrilled for you. Hold on for the ride of your life! Love to you THREE,” fellow star Penny McNamee said.

“Congratulations!” Laura Csortan added.

Back in August Jake told Daily Mail playing a father on the long-running Channel Seven drama has been great preparation for becoming a dad in real life.

“It's been really great training, I've had daily baby classes, it's been great,” he told the publication.

He also revealed at the time that after undergoing an ‘eight-week crash course’ on set he had “learnt all the tricks of the trade”.
