Jack Black Looks Unrecognizable in Trailer for New Christmas Movie
Jack Black is back in action for the holidays—but the actor's new movie isn't the typical warm and fuzzy Christmas fare.
While the School of Rock star does momentarily appear dressed as Old St. Nick in the Dear Santa trailer, released by Paramount+ on Nov. 7, he's not playing Kris Kringle in the upcoming film...quite the opposite.
Instead, Black, 55, stars in the festive flick as Satan himself—complete with horns and demonic-looking contact lenses—who gets accidentally summoned by a young boy named Liam when he tries to send a Christmas list to Santa but spells his name wrong.

In the trailer, Black materializes in Liam's room in a puff of smoke after mistakenly receiving the letter and offers to make his wishes come true—a promise that kicks off a series of hijinks, including a trip to a Post Malone concert (featuring the musician himself).

Keegan-Michael Key appears in the trailer as Liam's therapist (who seems to have a hard time believing his tall tale). Additional Dear Santa cast members include Ginny & Georgia's Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, P.J. Byrne, Jaden Carson Baker and Kai Cech.
Dear Santa was directed by Bobby Farrelly, whose brother Peter Farrelly co-wrote the script with Ricky Britt. The Farrelly brothers are famous for collaborating on hits like Dumb and Dumber, Hall Pass, Fever Pitch, and Ricky Stanicky.
After appearing in Dear Santa, Black will star alongside Jason Momoa in A Minecraft Movie, which is scheduled to be released on April 4.
Dear Santa will debut on Paramount+ on Nov. 25.
